The Omnipotent Paradox

"Could an omnipotent being create a rock that is too heavy for it to lift?"
There is no answer to this, if it were to be viewed as normal question. It is a trick question; a riddle. If the being is omnipotent, then nothing is too heavy for it to lift, and nothing is beyond its' creation. This question applies strictures that would not exist in an omnipotent being.

This question is so tough to answer because it essentially asks two questions at once. It asks the omnipotent being to use its ultimate power to contradict itself. It's like the old 'unstoppable force versus immovable object', except in this instance, the omnipotent being is both.

I found a rephrasing of this 'paradox' on a different website (Forgive me, I cannot remember the site.). "Could an all-powerful being demonstrate such power that he renders himself powerless?"

Well, that is exactly what God did! He stepped from His throne and incarnated Himself. He did this because God is not only infinitely powerful; but He is infinitely wise, and infinitely loving!
